This event is free and open to the public.

Libby Tisdell, is a coffee patron of the Cornerstone Coffeehouse, and Professor of Adult Education at Penn State Harrisburg. In the summer of 2012, she walked the Camino de Santiago, from the South of France across Northern Spain. In this presentation, she’ll provide photos and stories of her own adult learning in walking the 472 miles as spiritual pilgrimage, and how it connects to life in Harrisburg, café con leche and the Cornerstone Coffehouse!

Domestic Violence Awareness at CornerstoneDina and Sheila knitted hats, made teddy bears, and crafted beads to benefit Domestic Violence Services of Cumberland and Perry Counties at Cornerstone in October. Together, they raised $946 that was donated to DVSCP, while raising also awareness.

Freshman in ’59 is Carlisle resident Francine Moody’s first novel, which she will be celebrating with a book signing & discussion at Cornerstone. Francine was inspired to write this work of historical fiction by the unlikely discovery of her high school diary. She will be available the afternoon of December 14 to answer questions about the trials & successes of writing her first novel; growing up with black & white television & rotary phones; and the timeless travails of being young.
