Someday you’ll be able to tell your grandchildren you were there, at the outset of the soon-to-be famous Coffee with Crones; a trio of more-or-less wise, mostly-funny women having their say on everything in a mock talk-show format. They’ll be opining in a very special show at the Cornerstone on Saturday, April 27th at 8:00 pm.
They hate to be pigeonholed, but…think SNL’s Delicious Dish meets This Week meets Dr. Ruth meets Wayne’s World meets Harrisburg public access channel meets Real Housewives of City Island. They’ll be walking the tightrope between serious topics such as Alzheimer’s and aging bodies and fun stuff like interviews with the world renowned advice-giver, Ivana Tellya. Probably all at once.
The Crones are Lititz’ Terri Mastrobuono, Middletown’s Linde Stern and New Cumberland’s Lisa Weitzman. They’re appallingly-grown-up, AARP-eligible ladies, who, if they’re going down, are going down swinging – and not gracefully.
They made their debut at the Midtown Scholar Bookstore in Harrisburg last May to an appreciative audience full of friends, family and an inexplicable number of young-ish hipsters.
Their performance isn’t all about them. They want an audience with brains to pick. They need to figure out what sort-of regular people want to hear discussed, dissected, illuminated, ruminated over or (mis)interpreted by the Crones. So, if you don’t mind your mind being picked, as well as delighted, join the Crones at their next Coffee with Crones show on Saturday, April 27th at 8:00 pm.
