Antonio AndradeAntonio Andrade is a passionate entertainer. Accompanying himself on acoustic guitar and harmonica, he delivers an engaging brand of “rockin’ folk” and routinely captivates audiences with his spirited live performances.

One of our favorite regular musicians here at Cornerstone is Antonio Andrade, who has entertaining audiences in our coffeehouse for years. Today, we launch a new video feature called Live at Cornerstone with a video of the song “Fever” from Antonio’s show on Friday, September 9, 2016.

Andrade got started by singing Dylan songs at parties in high school and spent several years playing cover songs solo. Between 1992 and 2003 he played with Episode, a dance rock/cover band in the Allentown, PA area before returning to a solo career and the recording of original songs with the albums Straydog and What Do You Want From Me in the 2000s.

An album of cover song called See if You Recognize This One was released in 2010, which included a cover of the Talking Heads’ “This Must Be The Place”, which was used as the title song for the 2011 major motion picture This Must Be The Place, starring Sean Penn and Frances McDormond. Antonio’s most recent CD, Life Shakes, was released in February 2014 and features a professional studio backing band.

Sharing his own thoughts on his music, Andrade stated;

The sensation of sharing energy with an audience arouses passion in me. Music has a presence and a life of its own. I am trying to share it, and I am attracted to the possibilities. I am trying to honor my passion”. “Singing and playing, presenting songs and connecting with an audience, is more fun than anything else that I can think of or imagine. It seems the audience always has fun, and I know that I do!”
